Dr. Tulinda Larsen
Principal
Dr. Tulinda Larsen, a distinguished economist and industry leader, has returned to NEXA as Principal after a successful tenure as President of the Utah Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Initiative (UAMMI), now 47G UAMMI Institute. During her leadership from 2020 to 2024, Dr. Larsen secured more than $30 million in grants to bolster Utah's advanced manufacturing sector, serving as the key spokesperson for UAMMI at industry events and before government agencies.
With more than four decades of experience in the aerospace and manufacturing industries, Dr. Larsen brings unparalleled expertise to her role at NEXA, where she previously served as Principal from 2008 to 2021. Her career began at the US Department of Transportation, where she gained experience in air transportation economics.
A champion for women's equality, Dr. Larsen has received numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Utah's 30 Women to Watch, 40 Women-Over-40, and CIO Views Top 10 Most Inspiring Women to Follow in 2023. The University of Maryland Global Campus featured her as a Champion for Women in their 2024 Alumni Magazine.
Her commitment to community and industry advancement is evident through her board positions, which include the Board of Directors for the 47G UAMMI Institute and the Girl Scouts of Utah, as well as on the Executive Committee of the Columbus Agency, which supports adults with autism in finding employment and housing. Additionally, she is a member of the Alumni Board of Advisors at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Her academic credentials include a Doctorate of Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and both a BA and MA in Economics from The George Washington University. Dr. Larsen has also shared her expertise as an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University's School of Business, Worldwide Campus.
